Volunteer With SPNA—Help Shape the Park’s Busy Season Ahead

Volunteer With SPNA—Help Shape the Park’s Busy Season Ahead

As we look ahead to the active spring–fall months in Stuyvesant Square Park, SPNA is calling for volunteers to help support the park we all love. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to get more deeply involved, there’s a role for every interest and skill set.

We’re currently looking for:

  • Social Media Volunteers — Local neighbors who visit the park at least once a week and want to help grow and elevate SPNA’s social channels through photos, stories, and creative content

  • Gardening Volunteers — Join our Saturday morning Volunteer Gardening days, running May through October, helping weed, rake, mulch, clean, and care for park gardens

  • Events Volunteers — Assist with setup, organization, outreach, and welcoming the community at the SPNA info table

  • Fundraising Volunteers — Collaborate with our team on 2026 fundraising efforts, including idea generation and grant applications

  • Graphic Design Volunteers — Help create flyers, social graphics, and visual materials that support SPNA programs and outreach

We’re also planning a Volunteer Meetup in March to connect with interested neighbors, answer questions, and share more about how to get involved. Stay tuned—and email info@spnanyc.org to be included on the invite list.

Volunteering with SPNA brings together students, working adults, and retirees alike—creating opportunities to serve, mentor, and build community across generations. While NYC Parks provides essential maintenance, SPNA volunteers and supporters make so much more possible: horticulture care, environmental education, children’s arts and crafts, public art installations, summer music, fitness programs, historic walking tours, community bingo nights, community outreach, and more. Join us—and help protect and enrich this vital green space we’re so fortunate to share.
