Stella’s Puppet-Making Workshop

A beautiful, sunlit spring afternoon in Stuyvesant Square Park set the stage for a hands-on, joy-filled puppet-making workshop led by NYC artist Stella Nijhof. Participants of all ages gathered around the table to craft playful sock puppets using upcycled materials, sharing ideas and enjoying a relaxed, creative moment together in the park.

With a few simple materials and a bit of imagination, socks became characters—each one with its own personality, voice, and story waiting to be told. The result was a collection of whimsical creations and a warm, collaborative atmosphere in the heart of the neighborhood.
