Stop the Bleed — Life-Saving Training in the Park
In an emergency, minutes matter. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding—but with just three quick actions, you can be trained to save a life.
Join us for a hands-on, one-hour Stop the Bleed training in Stuyvesant Square Park, led by NYC Health + Hospitals.
This practical, community-focused workshop is designed to give everyday people the knowledge and confidence to respond when severe bleeding occurs. The session will cover how to identify life-threatening bleeding and includes hands-on instruction in applying tourniquets and using sterile gauze in urgent situations.
Led by Julia Burstein, MPH, Injury Prevention and Trauma Outreach Coordinator at NYC Health + Hospitals, this training offers simple, potentially life-saving skills in a supportive outdoor setting.
Open to all—no prior experience needed.
