10:30–11:30 a.m.
Stuyvesant Park - West Park by the Peter Stuyvesant Statue
Join us in Stuyvesant Park for a free community CPR training led by FDNY firefighters and certified American Heart Association instructors.
Participants will learn:
Compression-only CPR
How to use an AED (automated external defibrillator)
How to respond during a cardiac emergency before first responders arrive
This popular FDNY Mobile CPR Training Unit gives New Yorkers a chance to practice hands-on emergency response skills in a welcoming, accessible environment. No certification or previous experience is required.
The training is appropriate for adults and older children and is especially valuable for parents, caregivers, teachers, neighbors, and anyone who wants to be better prepared in an emergency.
Earlier intervention saves lives. According to the American Heart Association, immediate CPR can dramatically improve survival rates after cardiac arrest.
We’re proud to bring this important public-safety program back to the neighborhood.
Space is limited. RSVP recommended. RSVP here.
