Spend an early-fall Sunday afternoon enjoying live jazz in Stuyvesant Square Park with trumpeter Alex Nguyen and Friends.
A New York City-based trumpeter, bandleader, composer, arranger, and curator, Alex Nguyen brings warmth and poetic phrasing to performances inspired by jazz greats including Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham, and Roy Hargrove. He has performed across the United States, Europe, and Asia and at celebrated New York venues including Birdland, Mezzrow, the Kitano, and Lincoln Center.
Community-building and making music accessible are also central to Alex’s work, which has brought jazz beyond traditional venues and into public spaces including city parks.
Join Alex and friends beneath the trees for three hours of live jazz and community as we welcome October in Stuyvesant Square Park.
