Join SPNA board member David Turk and artist and local historian Jesse Richards for a guided stroll through Stuyvesant Square and the surrounding neighborhood.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the remarkable people who lived and worked here, uncover overlooked stories from New York City history, and explore the architectural gems that make this neighborhood so distinctive.

About the Guides
David Turk is a longtime SPNA board member and neighborhood advocate with a deep knowledge of the history and evolution of Stuyvesant Square and the East Village.
Jesse Richards is an artist, filmmaker, and local historian, and the author of Unknown New York: An Artist Uncovers the City’s Hidden Treasures. His work explores the overlooked cultural and architectural histories embedded throughout New York City.
