​Join Ramsay Rawson for a classic Brazilian bossa nova and samba performance on Sunday, July 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. A French-American musician, Ramsay performs classic bossa nova and international standards in intimate settings with voice and guitar. Inspired by classic “microphone singers” from the radio era in the early 20th century, he sings in multiple languages and performs around Europe and the United States.

His current project evokes the Latin and Jazz music atmosphere of Paris during the 1960s-70s, connecting the dots of French-Brazilian cultural interaction that began with the film Black Orpheus and continued from Rio to Paris with legends such as Vinicius de Moraes, Baden Powell, and Pierre Barouh.

As co-founder and producer of the New York-based lounge group Luxo 100, Ramsay has been a long-time collector and connoisseur of Brazilian, Latin, and African sounds and DJs. He is also one-half of the global beats and electronica duo World Class International with DJ KindB.
