An Evening of Jazz

Let’s come together to celebrate Black History Month with an evening of live jazz and spirituals from Alex Nguyen with vocals from Amanda Finch.

Hear songs created by Black artists that are instrumental in defining a uniquely American musical experience. The legacy and achievements of Harry T. Burleigh will be spotlighted. He was the first Black soloist at St. George’s Episcopal Church, across the street from Stuyvesant Square Park, and his arrangements introduced a new audience to the American spiritual.
